This is really intriguing. I keep coming back to it, and notice new things each time. It's very subtle, and done well......If I was interested in doing something like this, where would would I go to find out more about it? I'm interested in things like tools to use(hammers, stamps, punches???), techniques(???), etc........-J

Ok I lied about my last comment on your work(and these are the ones hollow)........THIS IS THE BEST I'VE SEEN FROM YOU!Just curious, how many hours a day do spend taking these shots, and what is your percentage of keepers? Are you making any money off of them? If not, you should be. -J

If this one is hollow, then it should count anyway............This is the best yet I have seen from you, and I've seen a lot of good stuff come from you. I think you may have just inspired me to go back to carrying my camera with me everyewhere I go. I want to capture some of this myself. Nature is wonderful in the many forms it takes and portrays. As always thanks for sharing........-J

I just looked over your entire portofolio here, and all I can say is.......WOW!!!.........the only real complaint I have on this one is presentation, because I would like to see this a bit larger, or at least a few detail shots. You have got a good firm grip on fantasy here. -J

This desperately needs shadows, shading, and anti-aliasing. The layout is good, but other than that there is no realism to the fantasy.........-J

My first thought on this is that I'd like to see it bigger. There are a good many details getting lost because of its size. My second thought is to how it was created, it looks 3d but I'm not so sure it was done in 3d. On closer examination it appears to be spheres created using filters in a paint program. I say this because some of them where sphered before inverting the line color, and some after. I like this, because it breaks up the pattern. My only complaint here is...

I gotta boost this one up, its too good not to.........Man have you got an eye on you. Do you look for these scenes or do you just see them everywhere you go? I know they're there, but I don't seem to notice them quite like you do...Again thanks for sharing.-J

I can see nothing wrong with this, in fact I know a few people who I could see hanging this on their kitchen wall. Theres a soft warmth to this. I like it.-J

This is a fantastic piece, but there is a blob of color in the upper right that is very distracting. I assume that it shouldn't be there...........I love the way you do your trees, it's a weak spot of mine. Any chance of you doing a tutorial on what you do get this great effect?-J

"Watch out where the husky's go and don't you eat that yellow snow.........."-ZappaI love shots like this, washed out to the point they look more like a sketch than a photo. This I think would be better white instead of sepia, but that's a matter of personal taste, so you get three anyway :).....Would love to see the orginal shot for this.-J

I like this, but I know very little about woodcarving(I did a few pieces years ago for an art class). Most walnut I have seen has been stained much darker(or maybe it's just years of accumlated wax and dust), and I have seen a lot of walnut(I refinish antiques for a living). I think this would benefit from a darker stain, but that's just my opinion(take it or leave it). -J

Ditto everything that Bill said, plus a couple of other things. If you can manually set the white balance on your camera, it would help out alot(check your manual), and never ever let the camera compress an image unless you absolutely have to. It's far better to do any compression yourself on a second file(not the original). I mention this because you have some jpeg'ing starting to show on this image. -J

I've been enjoying looking over a lot of your work in the last couple of days. You have an exceptional gift for abstract photography, and this one is no exception. I think it takes a special sort of person to look at everday objects and find the beauty in them that everyone else either ignores or takes for granted. Thanks for sharing.-J

Very nice, I love the way it has a realistic quality to it while it's obviously an illustration. This is a great example of digital art.I would love to hear how you created this. I see some layer styles floating around in there, as well as a few other things. If you don't mind my asking, how much was created by filters and styles, and how much was handpainted? I wouldn't ask but you've blended everything together so well it's hard to tell where one technique leaves off and...

I have to agree, there really isn't anything artistic about this shot. Seriously thought of giving it one down, but since you're new here and all. Where's the art?-J
