You did a great job on the lion. A couple of things I noticed on your lion...the whiskers are very thick and the eye..the iris almost looks like it is sitting on top of the area the eye should be. To not get that look you want to burn around the area, or take small round soft brush using black color, choose soft light and maybe 20% strength. (play around with that a little) Doing that you get a natural looking iris in the eye area and rid cut and paste look. I look forward to seeing more : ) I would do the same on the eyebrow white marks instead of using soft white mode just use regular paint at 10 percent opacity using round soft brush large enough to get the edge of the eyebrow white mark and the colored fur. The mane looks wonderful. To give it a little more depth take a tiny soft round brush in dodge mode at 10-20 percent strength, pull that over the whisker, that will still leave a slighter darker color along with the highlighted part of the whisker. Great job on the lion

This really is a great piece of work. I have tried to use photoshop and have failed miserably so I know the degree of difficulty that goes into something like this. And the time! I think this is gorgeous! The colors and effect that you used creates a sense of luminosity about it. It almost seems to glow from with in. My only thing about this piece are the eyes. I think if you defined these more and made them clearer that it would add so much more to this. The eyes I feel are the most inmportant when drawing you subject. Can't wait to see more!

Hi Jason, I like the portrait of the lion and used effect on it, if it were mine I would save the eyes out of the effect.Good done.Rgds.

Hi Jason... this is good work for being painted with a mouse - not the easiest drawing instrument to handle and manipulate. It looks like you are developing your technique, and/or style, and I think as you progress, your pieces will become more detailed. I would recommend using layers as you would do a glazing technique in oil painting, and along with that, using blend modes will allow you to get that built-up look - just my opinion. I think this really shows good potential - Rick

Very nice result. I would be interested in seeing the eyes a bit more defined in comparison to the softness of the surrounding animal.

Really gorgeous! I love the mystical look this has...I admire this kind of work because I have tried it myself and I am not very good at it.
