I like what I am seeing here, the shading is well done and the reflection is on the vase is done well. I would like to see more detail overall though, the photo itself is rather small.

Peter, "shades of blue and Picasso's blue period" went through my mind when I saw this. It is of course not related to the latter, but I am pleased to see how with a 'cold' colour, you have managed to present a scenery that is warm in feeling. It is difficult to ignore what Kelly wrote, she was very observant and analytical here. However, I am more puzzled by the red signature on this work, a minor, yet attention grabbing, element here. The (over-powering) frame and the background do little justice here, but may be a personal view. I do like most of that still life scene, here, a lot.

Nice job on this one. I like the soft tones of blue in this and the frame looks nice with this painting. The only thing that distracts me is the shadow of the egg on the container on the left side. The shadow is too visible. It should be a little softer. I think great job. Kelly
