As soon as I saw this I thought 'William Eggleston' - he has a famous photograph of a lightbulb hanging from a very red ceiling. Irrespective of that, I feel the possibility here was well seen. In this case, i think I'd liked to have seen a slightly wider view - perhaps to see the whole circle of light on the ceiling, and a bit more at the bottom and to the left of the frame. It would be interesting to know whether this was a 'one-off' or something that might form part of a series of photographs on a particular theme.

Rosemarie, I can only echo Anneke and Carole here. It is very well seen and I love the colours. The ventilation cover (?) also jump first into my view. Maybe a different angle? And if possible to avoid the lines...

I really like this but agree about cloning out the grate! The lines don't bother me and I like your composition and the feeling of elegance that you have captured! Carole

Hello Rosemarie,
Although this is not exactly to my personal taste, I can understand what made you take this picture - the warm orange-red colour, the soft circles and patterns on the ceiling, the impression of luxury. The composition in itself is nice, well seen. But why not taken the trouble to level the picture to make the walls stand straight? And why not clone out that ugly wall grating? I think your presentation would really benefit from that.
Kind regards, Anneke.
