What a very nice find :) the tree almost looks as it were sinking in quicksand :) Love the foggy wetness. I like the mood here. Kind regards, Tave :)

Excellent impact here, Tom - the gnarliness is intriguing - what was the tree thinking? - The tree on the right seems to throw the balance off a bit, but what are you gonna do - good piece.

A nice composition with superb lighting Thomas. The apparent inclined horizon does detract from this otherwise great work! Steve

Steve,Thanks for your time and kind words! They are always appreciated! The furthest back horizontal line looks to me to be about right the different water inlets are always questionable in my mind as to what is proper. Thanks for not letting it bother you!Tom

Lovely image, Thomas, and really effective in B&W. That attractive and forgiving mist adds depth, and separates the leaning oak just enough to distance it from the clutter of branches back there. It's a pity the other two trees on the right are in there, moving your subject more away from center stage, but it doesn't look as though there's much you can do about that. I would bring things back to horizontal, though! The mood fits in nicely with this season. Well seen. John.

This is good season for fog pictures Thomas and that combined with amazing nature you have captured well here. I like the greyish tones. I do agree with previous critiques that it is all a bit busy, and a crop at the bottom will enhance this photo.

Wonderful image Thomas, I love this peaceful scene, it works so very well in b/w, good contrast and light, the only what disturb me a bit is the tilt horizon to the left but overal a very delightful shot, Happy Thanksgiving to you! :o)

Charming! Charming! Looks like after a rainfall. Just wondering if you could taken a shot without much on the right hand side. Thanks for showing Thomas.

Good contrast and curved branches create a pleasant atmosphere. Foreground is not as interesting though and I would suggest to cut it off up to the water on left side.
Regards, Alex.

The B&W works really well here, Tom. The twisted limbs form interesting patterns against the foggy bg. Contrast seems perfect. Nicely seen and captured.
