This one is my favorite of your recent very strong work. The way the green background continues into his face seems more than just reflected light. It seems to create motion and life. His face is the anchor in the midst of a transient world. The glints on the lower lids re-enforce the sadness of the mouth. I really like the palette, and your color blending skills are growing amazingly. Thanks.

Rick, thank you so much for the very kind words; they're so appreciated; I'm in avid pursuit of growth. As you'll see, I just reviewed your newest piece and was agog at how much I loved it! Thanks again! -Terri

This is a very strange portrait. I think the style is unique and original. It is not pleasant to look at but it does seem to capture some essence in the face. I would add some dynamic in the background so it isn't so sparce.

I am not sure about reading the title through the face you creatged. It is a tired gentleman somehow resembling more a Picasso portrait, though slightly more realistic
through the shades of his eyes he radiates wary mood, not exactly sadness, imho.
